A detailed look at our system

Special features

Unique survey design features

All online survey systems provide you with simple tick-boxes and standard multiple choice questions, but demographix has some extra question types giving it unprecedented additional power:

Our randomizer questions are a particularly powerful feature, allowing you to test a range of propositions with each respondent being randomly shown just one of several available options. They won't see, and so won't be influenced by, the other options available. This can be especially useful when using demographix to test a price point.

The powerful ranking option question type allows the survey respondents to quickly and easily prioritise a number of options. Traditionally this would have involved asking them to score each option individually, followed by complex validation to ensure they'd scored items with values of 1, 2, 3, etc., making the survey a complicated and cumbersome process. By contrast, the demographix ranking option question type is compact, elegant, and easy to understand. Respondents love it!

Keyword analysis

Analysing write-in responses is easy too. Just enter groups of keywords and instantly responses containing these keywords are aggregated as if they were multiple choice options for you to filter and analyse by.

Viral campaigns

The best way to recruit or extend a survey panel is often via word of mouth, and that's exactly what our 'invite a friend' option provides. When respondents have completed a survey they can be given the option of inviting friends to complete the survey too. They just enter their friends' details, and an optional personal message, and we do the rest.

This feature gives you instant access to a broad range of people with similar interests and outlook to the original survey group. When analysing survey responses you'll instantly see how many invitations have been sent, and our deep analysis filtering allows you to compare the data from the original group with that of the extended panel.

Response tracking

If you promote a survey through a number of channels, such as emails or maybe partner site web links, you can tag the survey URL to show where respondents have come from. Demographix captures this tag and allows you to include it as a parameter in your analysis.

You'll find that it's also really easy to integrate customer IDs into your survey data. You simply append the customer IDs to the survey URL, and we'll use this to flag all respondent data. With demographix you'll never lose track of your customers, or what they want to tell you.
